Disney Plus The Premier Streaming Service

Disney Plus is set to release November 12th 2019 and it is already in motion to shake up the streaming market. With the increase in pricing for Netflix and Disney confirming that the monthly service fee for Disney Plus will be 6.99 a month it’s easy to see how many people might make the switch. With Disney content exclusively streaming on the platform there will be a wide array of content to choose from. One of the biggest benefits of the new Disney streaming service is having access to the Disney Vault. Classic films such as “Pinocchio” “The Lion King” “Alice in Wonderland” were part of the catalog of movies locked away in the Disney Vault. These films were not available on streaming platforms unless you purchased the physical or digital copies. It has been confirmed by Disney CEO Bob Iger that the once locked away films will now be available to stream on the Disney Plus platform. Many Disney fans might recall the commercials from the 90s and 2000s advising specific films bein

Avengers Endgame REVIEW

The grand finale has finally arrived after 22 films and 11 years of build up. Avengers Endgame is now in theaters and it definitely lived up to the height. After the intensity and emotions we all went through with Infinity War, many were wondering how the story would come to a close. Avengers Endgame has a lot more humor than most would anticipate considering the primarily serious tone of Infinity War. It seems as though the Russo brothers intended for there to be a happier tone for the viewers in preparation for the final battle that was to come. With both Thor and the Hulk embracing their more comedic roles as was seen in Thor Ragnorok, you can easily forget the primary goal of the heroes. This is a testament to the Russo’s ability to develop a story with intricate characters that take on a journey through various emotions. With the journey to collect the infinity stones and be able to take a look back to where our heroes started then to where they are now is truly remark

Us Film Interpretation

Expectations were high for the new Jordan Peele thriller “Us” from the initial release of the trailer. The use of Luniz hit 90’s Hip-Hop single “I Got 5 On It” created a whole new ambiance that you never would have associated with the song. Just like Peele’s directorial debut film “Get Out”, the film “Us” is filled with symbolism addressing social issues within the United States. Unlike his previous film which gave you the perspective of a specific race, this new film takes on classism within the U.S. as a whole.  Often times it is easy for us as citizens to disregard what someone else is going through just because we aren’t in their specific situation. We don’t take the time to put ourselves in their shoes and do not prioritize improving living conditions for them. Culture in the U.S. can primarily revolve around one’s status and possessions. This is displayed throughout the movie with the fathers of the Wilson and Tyler families both competing with each other with th

Canelo Golovkin, From One Sided to 50/50

A few years ago when the topic of a match between Golovkin and Canelo came up most people were quick to choose Golovkin as the favorite. In 2017 with the fight a mere few days away, a matchup that was once seen as favored for Golovkin is now an even fight. It is apparent that much like the Mayweather Pacquiao fight, Golden Boy Promotions marinated this fight enough till it benefited their fighter. Canelo has been on an uprise since his knockout victory over Amir Khan, defeating the likes of James Kirkland, Liam Smith and most recently Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The 27 year old fighter from Jalisco, Mexico has looked more impressive in each bout. While his opponent Gennady Golovkin on the other hand has been on somewhat of a decline. At age 35 many are beginning to question if Golovkin is still that same knockout monster who was tearing through the middleweight division since arriving to the U.S. In his recent bouts with Kell Brook and Daniel Jacobs, Golo

Mayweather McGregor, the Fight for Money not Pride

After a over a year of back and forth, the fight very few boxing fans cared for has been finalized. Conor Mcgregor will be facing the defensive master Floyd “Money” Mayweather on August 26th. As a competitive fight this bout is going to be nowhere near as competitive as the casual spectator expects it to be. This fight isn’t about two competitors trying to prove who’s the best. This fight is about selling a show and making a ridiculous amount of money in the process. There is a strong reason Floyd dropped the “Pretty Boy” nickname and began referring to himself as “Money”. The reason being is that it purely is about the money for Floyd. This fight would have been a better fit for Wrestlemania in 2018 but having it take place in a boxing ring is disrespectful to the sport. In 2017 boxing has seen one of its best years in recent memory and sadly that is going to be overshadowed by the gray cloud of Mcgregor vs. Mayweather. This year in boxing we have seen the best fight the best

Does Thurman Porter 2 need to happen now?

As many expected this past Saturday on Showtime Boxing Shawn Porter was victorious in his welterweight bout with Andre Berto. The fight was very physical with many head clashes that seemed to dictate the pace of the fight. There were breaks made for the headbutts but no actual warnings or point deductions by the referee. This was rather odd to me but regardless Shawn Porter still did what he had to do and won by TKO in the 10th round. At this stage in his career Andre Berto is not up to par to be competitive with the younger welterweights in the division. Regardless Berto still fought with a lot of heart as he always does but it still was not enough to slow down the barrage of punches coming from “Showtime” Shawn Porter. So what’s next for Porter? This win has earned him the position to be the mandatory challenger for WBC Welterweight champion Keith “One Time” Thurman. The two have fought before in a very exciting back and forth brawl. In the end Keith’s superior boxing sk

Can The Faithful Still Be Rewarded?

The CLG organization has faced its ups and its downs. Anyone who has followed them over the years knows the rollercoaster that is associated with the League of Legends team. We have seen them go from barely surviving relegations against Curse Academy to winning a game against SKT. The sheer unpredictability of this team is its beauty and its demise. In the past the organization had a willingness to try new things in order to strive for success. They were the first North American team to import a Korean player in “Seraph” and they also tried their luck with bringing in European jungler “Dexter”. CLG booted their long time star player “Doublelift” to create a better atmosphere for the players. Sometimes changes CLG made worked and sometimes it didn’t. Many people including myself thought they were making a huge mistake in getting rid of “Doublelift” but they proved us all wrong. They went on to win the 2016 Spring Split against rival Team Solomid and Doublelift. Then they had th
